Farmington Cardboard City
Saturday, April 26th, the Farmington UMC Youth sponsored Farmington's Cardboard City. Several Farmington youth came raised money for the Seven Hills Homeless Shelter by spending the night in cardboard boxes.
All the kids were given for the night were cardboard boxes. The only food was hobo stew made from canned goods brought by kids. Blankets, water, crackers, toothbrush, etc. could be purchased. The youth were able to raise over $1200 for Seven Hills and gain an appreciated for what homeless people experience each night.
