Sunday School

Farmington United Methodist Church is dedicated to help you and your family on your faith journey. We have many programs for Pre-School through Seniors. There is a program to meet the needs of everyone. Learning in an important part of your faith journey and we want to provide you with whatever tools you need.

Pre-School
We have a pre-school Sunday school class for ages 2-4 years. This is a great opportunity for the children to learn about the truths of the Bible through stories, hands-on activities and music.

Rotation for K-6th Grade
Those children in kindergarten to 6th experience the stories, truths, and lessons of the Bible through our Diving into the Bible rotation. Each group, Snorkelers, Scuba Divers, and Deep Sea Divers, visit different venues to learn about the Bible lesson. One week they may go to the Theater, another will go to Storytelling, they may act out the story in Drama. Over four(4) to six(6) weeks, the Bible lesson is reinforced along with verses so the children are able tell others about what they have learned.

Junior High/Senior High
7th - 12th grade students spend time in the Youth Cafe learning how to apply truths of the Bible to everyday situations.

Beginners in Faith
A Sunday School class to study the most basic principles of Christianity. The class is open to all ages, but its focus is on those who are new Christians. They meet in the conference room, down the hall from the office. Jeff Silva is the class leader.

Sojourners
Together, the Journey class seeks to study God's Word and discuss Faith for daily living. This adult Sunday School class is currently using the Wired Word study guide discussing contemporary issues from everyday life: "In the News", "Confronting the News with Scripture", & "The Big Questions". We meet in the parlor (located across the hall from the nursery & toddler rooms - handy for our parents with little ones!) at 9:00 each Sunday - join us for a cup of coffee, friendly conversation, and the teachings of God's Word. Dennis Sanders is the class leader.

Purpose Driven Life
What in the world are you her for! We will be reading and discussing the book of The Purpose Driven Life. We meet at 9am in the choir room located behind the pulpit area the church. You are not an accident! Even before the universe was created, God had you in mind, and he planned you for his purposes. These purposes will extend far beyond the few years you will spend on earth. You were made to last forever! We do have books for the class. Patti Sanders is the class leader.

Seekers
Study of the Bible and is open to persons of any age and any gender. The class meets in the first room on the left as you enter the sanctuary at 9am.
